Residents of a Virginia city have been ordered to shelter in place Thursday as police seek for an armed and harmful man who tried to run over two cops with a stolen police automobile, authorities stated.

Officers gathered within the Southside of Pulaski to seek for Jerrod Celablee Brown, who stole extra firearms from the police car after crashing and fleeing on foot, the Pulaski Police Department stated.

All residents on the Southside and a number of faculties within the space have been ordered to shelter in place till the state of affairs is resolved, officers stated.

The faculties included Pulaski Elementary School, Critzer Elementary School, Dublin Elementary School, Pulaski County Middle School, Pulaski County High School, together with the School Board Office.

“This is just a precautionary measure, and there are no actual issues inside any Pulaski County Public Schools buildings,” Pulaski County Public Schools stated in a Facebook publish.
